1)  New Straight Exhaust Pitot Tube  We've added a new product to our extensive line of Flow Bench accessories, a straight exhaust pitot tube.  It functions the same as the previous Exhaust Pitot Tube with the 90 deg bend.  Some people just prefer working with the straight tube, as it can be easier to handle and position.

 

It works seamlessly with our Port Flow Analyzer software for flow bench testing.  Picture below shows typical port velocity maps created from pitot tube measurements.  Understanding where the high and low velocity areas are in the port can help you see where gains can be made.

2)  Testing Small Valve Springs  One of our most popular products is our full line of Valve Spring Testers, both the manual or automatic models.

We've added a new accessory to our manual Valve Spring Testers, our SPV-PP Platten Plates.  When you want to measure very small springs, the screw heads in the middle of the plattens can produce problems. We offer Platten Plates which make the plattens complete flat and also reduce the spring height the tester can measure. These Platten Plates are held in place magnetically, and are typically .250" thick themselves, so with 2 it reduces the tester opening by .500". You will account for this extra thickness by telling the program you have a .500" thick retainer..
